Rylan Chessall and Taylor Cameron with the Summer Fun Crew traveled out to Fillmore on Sunday, June 25th

This past weekend, the Fillmore Lions club was celebrating their 100th anniversary. They celebrated by hosting their own Canada 150 event. There were events and activites going on all weekend with things like tractor pulls, piano bashes, and baseball tournaments. The summer fun crew went out on Sunday to check out the golf tournament and woman's baseball game that was on later that day. While we were there, we ended up seeing some other great things Fillmore had to offer for their Canada 150 celebration!

We started off our day by attending the golf tournament that began at one o'clock. There was a great turnout and everyone was having a great time!

After everyone started playing, we decided to head back in to Fillmore to see if we could find anything else the town had going on for the weekend. We ended up running into Carol Urban, Jody Wiggins, and Dale Wiggins (pictured below) who were showing people around their Prairie Memories Museum. It was fantastic to see all the history they have collected over the years, and we loved all the stories the hosts had for us at the museum. A short gallery of the museum will also be posted below.
