Drive in (under the stars) fundraiser - A SUCCESS STORY

This Saturday, the Weyburn Synchro Stars hosted a fundraising event:  DRIVE IN CINEMA UNDER THE STARS (Double Feature event)

... and, THIS is how you watch a drive in movie, where there is no drive in movie... an idea that turned into a community event enjoyed by 140 (minimum) carloads. 

As you can see, it takes a lot of time and preparing for an event of this size.  Many volunteers helped make it a safe evening out for families to enjoy.

While waiting for the darkness to fall, many youth kept themselves entertained...

When the darkness fell, the first movie was set to begin...

Boston Pizza was on hand with slices of Pizza, and Melissa's cotton candy also had a booth.  The Weyburn Synchro Stars had a canteen as well.

The cold weather, was not even close to being able to stop this Grand Adventure... the forecast called for colder weather, and the participants came prepared.

"First off, we would like to thank our corporate partners who made it
possible for us to host an event of this magnitude!  Secondly a huge thank
you to everyone who supported us by attending the drive-in, without you this
event would not have been the success it was.  We are so thrilled about how
well the event went from partnerships, to volunteers to attendees.  With all
of the great feedback that we have received, we will do it again next year!
We had around 140 cars attend the drive-in, and there was enough room for
