Happy Canada Day! Today the Summer Fun Crew went to the Weyburn Leisure Center to celebrate Canada's 151st birthday.

The morning kicked off with a pancake breakfast run by the Royal Canadian Legion. Then the flag ceremony took place at 10. Lindsay VanDeWeyer sung our national anthem and Councillor Jeff Richards also addressed the crowd. After the ceremony everyone got to eat some delicious cake, provided by the Weyburn Co-op.

The staff at the Weyburn Leisure Center served a barbecue lunch and Melissa's Cotton Candy was also present for anyone who wanted a treat. Some other activities that took place were a free swim, face painting, bouncy castles, and pictures with Disney princesses. Richy Roy put on a fantastic magic show and made balloon animals, too.

It was a great day at the Weyburn Leisure Center, and a great way to spend Canada Day 2018!
