The week of June 2 to 9th saw the Weyburn Police Service responding to noise complaints, impaired driving, and aggressive selling tactics.

Police received numerous noise complaints of loud music stemming from a tented area outside a local bar. A 42-year-old man in charge of the establishment was charged with a noise violation under the Weyburn bylaw.

A 47-year-old man was arrested for impaired driving. He was charged under the criminal code with impaired driving and operating a motor vehicle over .08. His court is set for later July 6.

Police received numerous complaints about individuals selling security alarms and their aggressive selling tactics. The individuals were advised that they were making citizens feel uncomfortable and that such conduct could get their business license revoked.

June 3rd
Police attended two separate domestic disputes and kept the peace while individuals exchanged property.
Police were dispatched to attend a local bar in relation to a domestic dispute between an intoxicated couple. The 41 year old female and 48 year old male decided to stay together and went to their hotel room. Later, Police returned when a report was received that an assault took place between the two of them. The couple refused to co-operate. The male was arrested for breach of his undertaking and charged under the Criminal Code. The female was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place and issued a ticket under the Alcohol and Gaming Regulations Act. Both individuals were lodged in cells, until they sobered.
June 4th & June 5th
Police attended a domestic dispute between an 18 year old female and 20 year old male. Officers helped mediate the situation and the female found other accommodations for the night.

Police assisted in returning a 20 year old male who left Mental Health in his hospital attire.

June 6th
Police attended a local residence in relation to an intoxicated, disoriented 46 year old female. Her partner was located and she was left in his care.
A 47 year old male was arrested for impaired driving. He was charged under the Criminal Code with impaired driving and operating a motor vehicle over .08. Court is set for June 6, 2013.
After a long standing dispute, an altercation occurred between a 25 year old female and her 23 year old female acquaintance.  The 25 year old is alleged to have punched the other. She was charged under the Criminal Code with assault. Court is set for later this month.
Police responded to a call involving an intoxicated suicidal 19 year old female.  She attended the station with officers to talk and later left in the care of her friend. Soon after, Police attended the initial residence as this female was causing a disturbance and wrecking property. She was arrested, held for her own safety until sober.  

June 7th - 9th
Police attended a local residence owned by a 53 year old female. Reports were received that the residence was unsightly and a public health concern. City agencies networked together and a house inspection was conducted. Matter is still under investigation.
