As construction season winds down on highways in the province, plans for next year are already in the works.

Construction on the passing lanes between Regina and Weyburn continue, with one set opening up last week on Highway 6. Lori Carr, Minister of Highways and Infrastructure, said they plan to open up another set in the coming week, weather permitting. She said the passing lane construction will continue.

"Next year we will actually be doing passing lanes between Estevan and Weyburn. That is part of the fall tender package also," said Carr.

The fall tender plan includes more than 25 planned projects and more than 600 kilometres of highway work. The list of tenders can be found HERE.
