After a very busy season the Weyburn Leisure Centre have shut down their outdoor pool and they are now getting ready to re-open the indoor pool on Monday, September 13.

"Pre-registration will still be required for lane swim times as our capacity is kept at 12 people but patrons will no longer need to pre-register for public swims or senior swim times," shared Tina Clay, Program Manager with the City of Weyburn. "Our capacity for the indoor pool is 300 people."

Clay added that this summer was much busier than last year for the outdoor pool and all of their seasonal programs.

"We do actually have some programs coming up in September and October," Clay told. "So we're offering Red Cross swimming lessons on Saturday mornings as well as Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Then on Mondays and Wednesdays in the evenings starting at the end of September and beginning of October. Also, Shawna Taylor will be teaching Aqua Fitness classes on Monday evenings starting on October 18th and Friday mornings starting on October 13th."

The registration for these programs will begin online on Tuesday, September 14 at 8:30 a.m. and there will also be free adult swimming lessons taking place courtesy of the Southeast Newcomer Services. (Read more on that HERE)
