Last week the Weyburn Police Service dealt with an Assault, some Mischief, and other incidences. Historical Sexual Assaults are under investigation and a charge has been made.

August 8th: After Midnight Weyburn Police Service Members were called out to a residence where Alcohol was a contributing factor to the damage of property. A 28-year-old man was taken into custody and has been charged with an Assault and a charge of Mischief.

Later that day at 11 pm the Weyburn Police Service received a call about a female in distress. Police, after patrolling the area found a 17-year-old male and female having a verbal disagreement. The matter was mediated.

August 10th: City Police were asked to keep the peace during a tenants eviction of a Weyburn residence.

Historical sexual assaults are under investigation. Weyburn Police are determining if the suspect was 12 years old or older at the times of the alleged offenses.

A 46-year-old man was charged by Weyburn Police with a charge of Sexual Assault from a dated occurrence. The Court appearance is happening in the future. This case is loosely associated with the above incident. 

August 12th: City Police were sent out to a report of a single vehicle collision with private property. The investigation led to a 34-year-old female being charged with Driving with Undue Care and Attention.

Weyburn Police received a report of a large dog attacking a smaller dog while both animals were being walked. Weyburn Police would like to remind all dog owners that they are responsible for controlling their animals out in public. You can face both Bylaw and Criminal Charges if another animal or person becomes injured. The smaller dog was treated at the Vets. 

August 13th: The Weyburn Police Service is investigating a report of a Break and Enter to the washrooms in Jubilee Park.
