Moose Jaw Police have arrested one out of the two people wanted in connection with a young man being stabbed to death early Tuesday morning.

Tyrel Munroe

Investigators say 25-year-old Kristen Desjarlais turned herself in late Wednesday night.  She was arrested on her outstanding warrants and made her first court appearance on Thursday. Desjarlais was remanded into custody until she reappears in front of a Judge on Monday, March 19.

She was described as a person of interest in connection with the death of 21-year-old Bailey Anderson.  He was pronounced dead at the hospital after police were called just before 1:30 Tuesday morning to the 1200 block of 3rd Avenue NE.

Her involvement in the stabbing has not been made clear but a Canada wide warrant is still active for the primary suspect, 19-year-old Tyrel Munroe. According to the latest news release, Munroe is wanted for second-degree murder and breach of probation. The suspect and victim were reportedly known to each other and it's believed the stabbing was the end result of an altercation between the two.

Munroe is considered armed and dangerous with police saying he has connections to Regina, where they believe he might be. Anyone with information is asked to contact 306-694-7600, or you can submit a tip anonymously to CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
