For the past few weeks, crews have been hard at work on the Tatagwa trail system in Weyburn.

Adam Hoffart, communications co-ordinator with the City of Weyburn, said a substantial of the trail is being repaved.

“It’s actually like a kilometre-and-a-quarter amount of trail that’s going to be done, and we’re expecting to have that done by the end of this month,” Hoffart explained.

Some sections of the trail have already been re-surfaced, and are open for the public to use. The section starts near the toboggan hill in River Park.

Hoffart pointed out the trail system in Weyburn is a fantastic asset for the community, and is designed for the public to walk, bike or run along it.

“If anybody isn’t familiar with our trails, there is a map on our website so you can check it out, and it’s really impressive – the trails go almost all the way around our city,” Hoffart added.
