Country singer Tenille Arts, who is originally from Weyburn, was recently named one of ten 'Top New Artists You Need to Know' in Rolling Stone Magazine.
“Everybody knows what Rolling Stone is, so that was something that I was super excited about,” said Arts. “It’s just amazing to be considered one of these new artists that they love and that they want to share with their readers.”
She said they hadn't told her the reason for touching base with her.
“They had reached out to do an interview and I didn’t know what it was for," she said. "So I just answered their questions and everything and then, it came out as the Top Ten New Artists You Need to Know for Rolling Stone, and I was totally blown away to be chosen for that.”

Arts said her new video for her single, 'I Hate This' will feature an unusual perspective.
"We did a big music video for the song, and just a little sneak peek about it, is that my world is literally turned upside down in this video. So if people want to check it out when it comes out, it's one of the coolest things I've ever done and I can't wait for people to see that."

Arts wanted to express her appreciation for the community that reared her to where she is at now.
"Honestly, I just want to say thank you to everybody that's been supporting me back home, because when I'm posting this stuff, I go through the comments and I see the teacher I had commenting on things, and friends and family members and just everybody from the community," she said. "I just absolutely appreciate their support so much. It really does mean the world to me, and I read all of that stuff."
