The province announced 14 new, confirmed cases of COVID-19 yesterday. These new cases bring the provincial total up to 220 total cases. At this time, three patients are hospitalized due to COVID-19 related issues including one in the intensive care unit in Regina.

However, nearly the same amount of people have recovered from COVID-19 as well. 12 people have recovered from COVID-19, bringing the provincial total of recovered cases up to 48.

To this date, 12,112 tests for COVID-19 have been performed in Saskatchewan. These numbers set Saskatchewan to the second-highest testing rate per capita amongst the provinces.

In addition to the new numbers, the province announced that all employees working at long-term care facilities in Saskatchewan will have their temperature checked and will be monitored for symptoms of COVID-19 before beginning their shifts.

The province is also working to provide temporary licenses to retired, non-practicing and student health professionals. This is to help provide more assistance during the COVID-19 pandemic.
