A preliminary hearing date has been set for the Weyburn man facing charges after a fatal two-vehicle accident near Moose Jaw in February.

The accident, on Highway 39 near Moose Jaw, killed a 62-year-old man. He was the lone passenger in his truck. The driver of the other truck, 34-year-old John Smolinski, and two passengers in his vehicle were taken to hospital.

As a result of the accident, Smolinski was charged with impaired driving causing death, and a number of other charges.

His preliminary hearing will be held in Moose Jaw Provincial Court on October 17th.
