Premier Brad Wall

The nomination process is now open for this year's Premier's Award for Excellence in Public Service.

The awards are a way to acknowledge individuals or groups in our province who are making Saskatchewan a better place to live.

Established in 2003, the award is presented to members of Saskatchewan's public service who have made outstanding on-the-job contributions to the government and citizens of the province.

Premier Brad Wall says, " The award recognises provincial public servants who have gone above and beyond by making outstanding and innovative contributions to the government and to citizens. It's a way of saying 'thank you' to those individuals or teams for helping make Saskatchewan a better place to live by embracing the challenges that come with growth."

Individuals or teams from government ministries, some Treasury Board Crown Corporations, boards, commissions and agencies are eligible for nominations by public service, stakeholder organisations, clients and the public.

Selections are made by an independant committee and there are up to 6 awards which will be announced this summer. Recipients receive a pewter trophy and a lapel pin bearing the Saskatchewan coat of arms with the provincial motto Multis e gentibus vires (From many peoples strength), and a certificate to recognize their achievement.  The award is presented by the Premier.
