Comtrax Logistics Solutions Inc. have been working on a new commodity hub in Weyburn for around two years and have received some good news recently to help the process move further ahead.

"Our biggest news is we have a letter of support from the railway for our project which should help us proceed with a lot of other things that have been sitting on the back burner until we had that confirmation. Things such as location and allowing us to proceed further with conversations of potential shippers out of our logistics hub that really couldn't go on until the railway said "we can do this with you guys."," explained Mark Bratrud, President/Director, Comtrax Logistics.

The company are hoping to see construction on the land after the completion of the Environmental Study, which is currently in process and likely to be finished in the summer.

"We don't see any major issues there at this point."

"We are ready to go now but realistically we are probably a year or so before we would see any kind of activity out there as far as actual business being conducted."

Comtrax has submitted a type of rezoning application to the RM of Weyburn for approval. There will be a public consultation on the proposal later in March.

"So far we have had overwhelming support but that will be a nearby-hurdle we will have to get past."

March 20th is the date of the first Annual General Meeting for Comtrax and the information packages are being sent to shareholders this week.
