The water treatment plant in Midale will be going offline, starting Wednesday and for the remainder of the week, to allow for upgrades to be made to the facility.

Linda Dugan is the town administrator.

“We’re asking all our residents to please conserve their potable water during that time,” explained Dugan. “We can’t treat incoming water, so we have to rely only on the stored reservoir water.”

While the water treatment plant is offline, the truck fill station will also be closed. The work is expected to be completed on Friday, with the systems back up and fully operational by Saturday.

The upgrades are expected to improve the speed with which water is treated in the community.
