Motorists travelling west of Weyburn along Highway 13 this May long weekend are advised to expect some minor delays due to construction.

"We've got about 30 kilometres of surfacing west of Weyburn on Highway 13," said Steve Shaheen, senior communications consultant for the Department of Highways and Infrastructure. "That's about a $4.8 million project, so we would remind motorists to expect some minor delays and disruptions."

Sheehan also reminded drivers to slow down to 60 kilometres or less in work zones. He said it's important to slow down, even when workers are not present, due to conditions such as sharp drop-offs and loose stones.
