While the Weyburn Public Library has been closed for more than three months, the staff are back, preparing their gradual reopening process.

"For this first week, we are accepting returns for items taken out prior to the closure in March," said Branch Manager Matthew Rankin. "So basically any item you had out you can drop them in our drop bin at the front and we have staff now to take it in."

"The library space itself is closed to the public, but as we move forward, we'll be introducing more services and slowly moving back towards normal operations."

All fines were suspended before the closure, so nobody has to worry about late fees before all materials are due, which has just been set by the regional headquarters as officially July 15th.

"Good news is that we do have new materials coming in, so they'll be showing up in our collection and our catalogue, so once we're back to normal, with our curb-side service that we'll introduce in the coming weeks, you'll be able to get those items as well," he noted.
