"Ice Dams" are a common site in Weyburn this Spring.


Heavy amounts of snowfall this winter have been keeping SGI busy with hundreds of calls regarding ice dams.

The heat from your attic melts the snow on your roof, but with no where to properly drain it freezes back up. This creates the "Ice Dam". After time the ice will eventually work up your roof, and begin to seep under your shingles. Once this happens, extensive damage can occur on your roofs trusses. Ice dams also put extreme stress on eavestroughs.

So far this year SGI has had over 700 claims regarding this common problem.
