"We are governed by a board of directors that is comprised of local business leaders as well as representatives from both the City and the R.M. of Weyburn," says Twila Walkeden, Executive Director for Weyburn Regional Economic Development. "We seek to foster economic growth in the Weyburn region by working with the investors, government and community partners."

They gather information and statistics for businesses to help them decide where to invest. This assistance brings investors to Weyburn and encourages them to be a part of our business community.

"We assist business that are looking to invest in the Weyburn area and offer assistance in site selection, marketing information and research as well as other areas that are too numerous to mention," says Walkeden.

With changes to taxes and the oil sector, it is more important than ever for Weyburn to focus on business and economic growth.
