Work is continuing to get a surface onto Government Road, after a long period of construction to get portions of the water infrastructure underneath the street taken care of.

Weyburn’s director of engineering, Nader Keshta, said the crews currently working on the project will have the base and sub-base finished by the middle of next week. From there, the temporary paving needed for the winter will start.

“A-S-L paving is scheduled to come the week of September 24th,” Keshta explained. They will take care of the temporary patching needed for the street for over the winter.

In the spring, once the base and sub-base have properly settled, the surface will be milled and paved. The work for the paving is expected to be done in May of 2019.
