The Tatagwa Parkway is an important part of Weyburn which residents enjoy all year round.

Funding for the maintenance of the parkway comes partly from the provincial government.

Provincial government cuts have meant less funding for park maintenance in Weyburn.

The Parks Committee launched a calendar competition to help offset the shortfall from the Government of Saskatchewan.

"We get people to submit photos ideally of the Tatagwa Parkway in all four seasons of the year and then there are photos chosen from the contest to go into the calendar," explained Amber Wiggins, Communications Officer, City of Weyburn.

The Calendar was released yesterday and is available to purchase from City Hall.

"Every penny that we receive for each calendar goes back into funding for the parkway, which can fund any number of things but it all goes back into parks," added Wiggins.
