If you don't have golf clubs, or golf funds, or even golf skills, there is still one summer recreational activity you could consider trying out is a round of Disc Golf.

There are nine holes on the Disc Golf course at River Park... and this golf course is available free of charge.

Linda Prokott is Parks Co-Ordinator for the City of Weyburn. She said finding the course is easy enough, as there is a sign at the start of the course that says, 'Welcome to the River Park Disc Golf Course'.

"All of the baskets are marked," she said. "It starts at the entrance to River Park, and then it loops back around to the entrance once you reach hole nine."

There is a printer-friendly map available on the City of Weyburn website, along with printable scorecards.

Prokott noted that printed maps can be found at the River Park Campground office during regular office hours, from 7:00 to 9:30 a.m. and 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.

Even if you don't own a frisbee disc, you can still play in the early mornings or evenings.

"So, during those office hours, people are more than welcome to go borrow one of our frisbees, at no charge," she added.
