Those planning to travel this Father's Day weekend should expect some delays. There's some highway construction around Weyburn to watch out for this weekend.

"Highway 13, where work continues on about 30 kilometres of surfacing west of the city. Motorists should expect some delays and disruptions to their normal travel schedules. The contractor will be providing traffic accommodation," shared Steve Shaheen with the Saskatchewan Ministry of Highways and Infrastructure.

There is work taking place on Highway 35 between junction 705 and 10th Avenue east, and Highway 39 from south of 16th street to Government Road. Shaheen said that work should be complete by the end of August.

There's also some surfacing work on Highway 39 northwest of Weyburn and north of Yellow Grass. Flagpersons will be in attendance and motorists should be prepared to stop.
