The case of a Weyburn man facing charges of impaired driving causing death has been adjourned.

34-year-old John Smolinski was charged in February after the truck he was driving collided with a truck on Highway 39 outside of Moose Jaw, killing a 62-year-old man.

Smolinski has been charged with:

  • Impaired operation of a motor vehicle causing death;
  • Impaired operation of a motor vehicle over .08 causing death;
  • Impaired operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm;
  • Impaired operation of a motor vehicle over .08 causing bodily harm.

He appeared in Moose Jaw Provincial Court in March.

The Crown adjourned the case to Apr. 18, to allow the accused to find legal council.

On Tuesday, Smolinksi's case was again adjourned to May 10 as he is still seeking council.
