Students and staff at Weyburn Comprehensive School participated in Green Shirt Day today, to honour and recognize organ donors in the province.

One of those donors the students honour today is their former classmate Kailynn Bursic-Panchuk, who became an organ donor last summer when a collision with a train sent her into a coma before passing away. Her organ donation, which, like so many, was inspired by Logan Boulet of the Humboldt Broncos, helped save the lives of three people.

Kailynn's mother Sandra LaRose was instrumental in bringing Green Shirt Day to Weyburn, which was celebrated here and across the province on April 7.
