A night of comedy and improv is in store for Weyburn Concert Series goers next Saturday. Canadian couple Colin Mochrie and Debra McGrath will bring their unique comedy stylings to the Cugnet Centre stage.

Mochrie spent years performing on the hit television improvisation show 'Whose Line is it Anyway'. McGrath played Mayor Ann Popowicz on CBC's 'Little Mosque on the Prairie'.

Mochrie said during an interview with Discover Weyburn that the show is basically about couples.

"We talk a little bit about ourselves, we use audience members to help us out with some improv scenes, but the improv is all sort of based around couples and couple dynamics," explained Mochrie.

Weyburn Concert Series President Linda Aitken said they are very excited to have the comedy duo on stage.

"These two people do improv and they do improv like no other," said Aitken. "In fact, Colin Mochrie actually is an improv leader in the world, one of a few."

The show on January 27 starts at 7:30 at the Cugnet Centre.

Advance tickets are available at Old Fashioned Foods and Music Craft. Tickets may also be available at the door. Tickets can also be purchased online.

The next concert series will be on March 6 when Shaunavon-based Hunter Brothers share their country-gospel music.
