Prairie Sky Co-op will be giving back to its members through its Equity Days this week.

"It's a win-win for both us and for our consumers," said Don Kraft, General Manager. "Any profits that we made because of the support from our consumers will be given back to the consumers as a reward for shopping with us."

Kraft said some changes have been made to the equity program. New members used to have to wait until their equity reached $200 to receive a cheque.

"Now, they will receive an equity cheque for 25 percent of their allocation as soon as they become a member," explained Kraft. "So there should be quite a few more cheques issued, primarily to new members and the younger families that are in our community."

He noted that the Co-op also regularly gives back to the community through charitable donations.

"One of our values for the company is community and we are very proud of the amount of support we provide to the non-profit and charitable organizations within our community to help them make Weyburn and surrounding area like Milestone, Lang and Beaubier a better place to live for all residents."

Equity cheques are available at the Metro Centre location on Main Street Monday, Tuesday at the Suds City location, Wednesday in Beaubier, Thursday in the Food Store, Friday in Milestone and Saturday back in the Food Store in Weyburn.
