Phase 3 of the Re-Open Saskatchewan Plan is set to begin on Monday, June 8th. With this phase underway, restaurants, and licensed establishments, gyms, places of worship and child care facilities are among the groups that are permitted to re-open as part of Phase 3. However, for Weyburn, there will be a few extra businesses opening as well. This includes not only the opening of City Hall but also some leisure activities such as tennis and disc golf.

"We've made the decision to reopen city hall on Monday," said the Director of Leisure Services, Andrew Crowe. "We're just asking that if people do feel they need to come in and make bill payments or visit the city hall, they come at a limit of one person per household."

Crowe said that while they are open, they will be following many of the same guidelines that other businesses follow, including social distancing, the number of individuals allowed into the building, and the constant sanitization of the area.

In addition to the re-opening of City Hall, there will also be the opening of some recreational activities.

"We're really excited the government has given us the go-ahead to open individual recreation activities," Crowe added. "So the tennis course and golf course will be opening on Monday as part of the re-open Saskatchewan plan."

While the Re-Open Saskatchewan Plan continues to loosen some restrictions, social distancing laws and regulations are still in effect.
