The red, white and blue of the Montreal Canadiens will grace the ice at Crescent Point Place December 1st. The Canadiens Alumni Tour will be making a stop in the Opportunity City.

The event is being put on in a partnership with the Weyburn Chamber of Commerce, Weyburn Tourism, and the Weyburn Red Wings.

“The alumni list is not available to us yet, but we’re certainly excited to hear what that might look like,” Twila Walkenden, manager of the Chamber of Commerce said after the announcement Monday morning at Crescent Point Place.

The alumni team will be taking on members of the Red Wings alumni, and other area notables in the game, which will feature a meet and greet prior to opening face-off, and a number of other, yet to be determined, events.

Fans will also have the chance to interact with the players on the ice, according to Brent Stephanson, president of the Weyburn Red Wings.

“We actually have a spot for two players to actually play with the Montreal Canadiens,” Stephanson explained.

The tickets go on sale September 1st and will be available through the Weyburn Chamber of Commerce, Weyburn Tourism, and the Weyburn Red Wings websites. They will also be sold at the Red Wings box office.
