This past Sunday was Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day.

Riverside Park saw a balloon release and A Walk to Remember, where participants walked the steps that will never be taken.

"I don't like to see new faces here for obvious reasons," says Lisa Loustel, Founder of A Walk to Remember. "It was a good turn out, very healing, the balloon release went over pretty good."

Multiple balloons in a variety of colours were let go to commemorate those infants and babies lost.

"I think it's very important because Weyburn doesn't really have anything like this, having gone through this myself and not really having any outlets to grieve or to heal I just feel it's important for people to come out to pay tribute to their babies that have gone too soon," says Loustel.

A Walk to Remember raised $4443.50, which was donated to the Weyburn Family Place. Sask Energy donated $443.50 with the rest of the money coming from a bake sale, raffle ticket sales and personal donations.
