Three men have been charged after combined enforcement units carried out search warrants in and around Stoughton on Wednesday.

Dustin Rowlands, 24, and Randy Payton, 25, of Stoughton as well as James Thomas, 25, of Edmonton have been charged with a number of offences including possession of Fentanyl and possession of prohibited firearm.

These charges stem from a month-long investigation and search warrants of two locations by the Saskatchewan Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit (CFSEU).

All three men appeared in Weyburn court on Wednesday and are remanded until their next scheduled court appearances on Friday at Regina Provincial Court.

25-year-old James Thomas of Edmonton, AB:

A total of nine firearms and other offences including:

  • Careless storage of a firearm-Section 86(1) CC
  • Unlawful possession of a firearm-Section 91(1) CC
  • Possession of a prohibited firearm- Section 95 CC
  • Possession of stolen property-firearm-Section 355(b) CC
  • Possession of a controlled substance-Fentanyl-Section 4(1) CDSA

25-year-old Randy Payton of Stoughton, SK:

A total of 27 firearms and other offences including:

  • Possession of a prohibited firearm-Section 95 CC
  • Possession of stolen property,-firearm-Section 355(b) CC
  • Use of a firearm in a careless manner- Section 86 (1) CC
  • Possession of a weapon dangerous to public peace- Section 88 CC
  • Possession of a weapon obtained by commission of an offence- CC
  • Possession of a controlled substance-Fentanyl-Section 4(1) CDSA
