The Weyburn Car Club is hosting its 17th annual Show and Shine Car Show Saturday.

Car Club President Gary Ness said registration is at the Legion and begins at 10 a.m and will continue until 3 p.m.

"We've blocked off the top and bottom of Third Street, depending on what we need," said Ness. "We've never been rained out, 17 shows in a row."

Ness added that the show has grown over the years.

"We're up to upwards of 200 cars now," he said. "Our club is also very active, it's grown in the past year. We're up about 8 members, with about 48 in total now."

Ness said that every year the show raises funds for a different local organization. This year, all proceeds from the show will go to the Canadian Mental Health Association.

"There's food vendors of all types and kinds. Some of the merchants put sidewalk tables out," he added. "It's just kind of like a carnival atmosphere."
