The 17th annual Show and Shine Car Show didn't disappoint the crowd of people gathered in downtown Weyburn Saturday. The blocked off streets were filled with people by early afternoon, who came to check out hundreds of new and antique cars, trucks, vans and tractors.

The carnival-like atmosphere had several vendors selling food and there was even a place to get a temporary tattoo. Some local organizations were at the car show to raise money. The Weyburn Humane Society was selling mini-donuts and the Fifth Weyburn Scouts were selling popcorn. The Weyburn Legion featured beer gardens and a unique fundraiser called a chicken poop-off, which had patrons buying squares in an attempt to guess where the chickens would leave their droppings in the mapped out pen.

Every year the show, put on by the Weyburn Car Club, raises funds for a different local organization. This year, all proceeds from the car show will go to the Canadian Mental Health Association.
