Weyburn Red Wing fans are accustomed to seeing red and white on the ice when they watch the Wings, but for one game, the team will be switching things up.

On January 18 against Estevan, the Wings will be rocking some slick black and red alternate jerseys that will be auctioned off during the game.

"In conjunction with Dairy Queen, as they were very gracious to sponsor the jerseys. If anybody saw them, they are very sharp," team president Brent Stephanson said. "What this is going towards is the Saskatchewan Make-A-Wish Foundation, but there's also a Weyburn Make-A-Wish child as well. They will be receiving the money to help fulfill their wish, which I think is extremely important."

The Red Wings typically try and do a third jersey every season, which can be sold with proceeds benefiting a part of the community.

"Every year we try and find a cause because the Red Wings are very dedicated to our community – it's very important to us," Stephanson stated. "Our community supports us and we want to do everything we can to support the community back as well."

People can bid on the jerseys the team will be wearing in the lobby during the game. Stephanson invited everyone to come out and support the team and support a great cause as well on Jan. 18.
