Weyburn had two Atom teams representing the city at the Damon McLaughlin Memorial tournament in Sidney, Montana this past weekend. AtoMc Green and the DQ Blizzards made the trek for the eight-team event. The Blizzard were the lone all-girls team entered into the tournament.

The tournament started on Friday, with the Blizzards taking on Miles City. It would be a win for the Weyburn side, as they skated to a 7-1 victory. Right afterwards, AtoMc Green played Glasgow. They would get a 5-2 win.

Friday finished off with the Blizzards playing Richland. It would again be the Blizzards with the win, thanks to a 5-1 final.

Saturday morning, AtoMc Green played Watford Red. It would be an 8-0 shutout for the Weyburn team, who improved to 2-0 in the round robin. For the Blizzards, their final game of the round robin was against Watford White, who won the game 9-2.

AtoMc Green closed out the round-robin Saturday against the Minot Wolves. It would be a tie game, the final score 2-2.

Both Weyburn sides finished in second place in their respective pools, setting up a third-place match-up between the two teams. It would be AtoMc Green who came out on top, winning 11-0.
