For the first time in 2 years, Weyburn's Graham DeLaet will compete in one of golf's Majors this weekend.

DeLaet will tee it up today in round number one of the PGA Championship, being played this weekend at Quail Hollow, North Carolina.

The 35-year-old Weyburn product withdrew from last weekend's Barracuda Championship as a precautionary measure, in an effort to rest his ailing back.

DeLaet teed-off at 10:30 a.m. Saskatchewan time this morning, and told reporters on Wednesday that he felt the later start time today would help him get his back loose for round one.

DeLaet enters the weekend ranked 117th in the world.  The PGA Championship is golf's fourth and final major of the season.

DeLaet finished today tied for 15th, just 3 strokes back of the leader, who is 4 strokes under par.
