Several Weyburn runners have started their road race season competing in races across the prairies and even as far away as Tennessee this past week and a half.

Weyburn's Courtney Baumgartner ran the St. Jude Rock 'n' Roll Nashville Half Marathon on Saturday, which had a huge field of over 18,000 competing in the 21km half marathon race. Courtney finished with a time of 01:58:51 and place 147th in her category & 2177th overall

Jeanette McNalty took part in this weekend's YQR Vet Run at RCMP Depot in Regina on Sunday. Jeanette ran the 5K race in yesterdays snow with a time of 37:44 and finished in 22nd place.

Weyburn's Jess Ziegler was also competing in a 5K race this weekend in Medicine Hat at their annual Rattler Run. Jess finished 26th in her category and 161st overall with a time of 34:40.

Local runner Terra Jacobsen also ran last weekend in Regina's Gopher Attack Half Marathon April 19th. Terra finished in 14th place overall with a time of 1:54:34 in the 21km distance.
