Two players with connections to Weyburn Minor Hockey will make their debuts this week in the WHL.

It all begins tonight, as Cordel Larson arrives in Kamloops with the Spokane Chiefs. The Weyburn native was called up as an AP by the Chiefs for tonight’s game. Larson plays Midget AAA hockey with the Notre Dame Hounds. So far this season, he has racked up 40 points in 38 games.

The other product of the Weyburn Minor Hockey Association play in the WHL this week is Drew Englot. Hailing from Candiac, Englot played Bantam AA hockey in Weyburn. He has been called up by the Lethbridge Hurricanes and will make his debut with the WHL squad Friday night when they are in Moose Jaw to take on the Warriors. Englot has 11 points in 36 games with the Hounds.
