The Bienfait Coalers continued their high scoring offense Tuesday night, when they beat the Midale Mustangs 7-3 in Big Six Hockey League action. The Coalers have now won four in a row, outscoring their opponents 44-14 over the stretch.

The Coalers came out to an early lead Tuesday, scoring just 59 seconds into the game, as Payden Benning found the back of the net. Dylan Herzberg notched the assist, his first of three points on the evening.

The Mustangs came back to start the second period, though. Brad Tomiski beat Bienfait goalie Jackson Walliser, with assists going to Steven Lindenbach and Logan Martinson.

The Coalers regained the lead just over 90 seconds later, when Preston Erickson scored on Derek Tendler. Dustin Stepp picked up the lone assist on the tally. It would become a 3-1 lead not long after the goal, when Wyatt Garagan scored, with Herzberg assisting.

Midale replied after the goal, when Tyler Hoium scored, with Connor Burk and Adam Ziegler being credited with the helpers. After the Mustangs goal, though, the Coalers turned up the pace.

It started with two goals within 45 seconds late in the second period. Kyle Garagan scored, assisted by Hunter Piche and Stepp. Then, Herzberg scored for the Coalers, assisted by Benning, and Wyatt Garagan.

To start the third period, Kyle Garagan scored his second of the game, assisted by Erickson. Keegan Malaryk rounded out the scoring for the Coalers just past the halfway mark.

The Mustangs would score once more late in the third, with Garrett Sherlock finding the twine.

With the win, the Coalers are still six points back of the first place Carnduff Red Devils. Their offense, though, is the top in the league, with 77 goals this season through nine games. Midale is current 5-4 on the year, two points back of Bienfait.

In the other game in the Big Six Tuesday, the Wawota Flyers came out firing and scored early and often en route to an 11-0 victory over the Arcola Combines. Hunter Smith picked up a hat trick in the win, while Kent Sauter, Taylor Ernst, and Kevin Lincoln added two goals each. Scott Knelson earned the shutout.

The Flyers moved up to just one point back of Bienfait in the standings, while Arcola is still looking for their first win of the year.
