It was a tough weekend for the Pee Wee AA Youngfellow Wings. They were on the road for a pair of games this weekend, taking on the Pee Wee Terriers in Yorkton.

The action started Friday night, with the two teams meeting at Farrell Agencies Arena. The Terriers would come out firing, and jumped out to an early 5-0 lead, before going on to a 9-1 victory.

The lone goal for the Wings came from Silas Stein, who scored with 53 seconds left in the first period.

The second game, Saturday evening, was a totally different game.

The Wings started out by scoring on the power play with 6:56 left in the first period. Langston Gold found the back of the net, assisted by Kaden MacLean.

The Terriers replied before the end of the first period, and then two power-play goals in the second had them jumping out to a 3-1 edge. The Wings weren’t finished, though.

Kegan Ksenych scored with 3:31 left in the period, assisted by Cruz Klapak and Brennan Brown.

While Yorkton did add two more goals in the third, the Wings kept coming. The work paid off with a goal scored by Conner Kerr late in the final frame, assisted by Noah Kopec, but it would prove to be too late for the comeback to be completed.

The next game for the Pee Wee AA Wings is Saturday when they host the Moose Jaw Pee Wee Warriors at Crescent Point Place.
