The Saskatchewan Roughriders continued their signing spree on former players returning from the National Football League on Tuesday.

After adding linebacker Jeff Knox Jr. on Monday, the Riders brought back fellow international linebacker Otha Foster as well as signing kick returner Marcus Thigpen.

Foster left the Riders in the offseason to sign with the Baltimore Ravens after leading Saskatchewan in defensive tackles with 71 in 2016. He started all 18 games last season with the Riders.

The 29-year-old was released by the Ravens following training camp wrapping up earlier this month.

Thigpen, 31, comes to the Riders with 36 CFL games and 50 NFL games of experience between 2010-15.

During his time in the CFL, Thigpen returned the opening kickoff 93 yards for a touchdown in his debut and also scored from 118 yards on a missed field goal return.

The Riders also announced that they’ve released international defensive lineman Royce LaFrance and national kicker Brett Lauther on Tuesday.

Saskatchewan returns to the field on Friday when they head to Hamilton to face the Tiger-Cats.
