Brett Lauther kicked a 39-yard field goal with 25 seconds remaining to lift the Saskatchewan Roughriders to a 27-25 victory over the Montreal Alouettes last night.

William Powell scored two touchdowns for the Riders as they improved to 8-and-4. Powell rushed for a game-high 94 yards on 15 carries. He added three receptions for 30 yards.

It's getting tight atop the CFL's West Division standings. Stamps Quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell improved to 12-and-oh lifetime against Hamilton as the Stampeders beat the Tiger-Cats 19-18 in Calgary last night.
