The Weyburn Red Wings are looking to add some depth to an already strong lineup.

They announced Monday they had worked out a deal with the Humboldt Broncos for forward Dawson Atamanchuk. The 20-year-old player played in 37 games with the Broncos last season, notching six goals and eight assists for 14 points. He also played seven games with the Delisle Chiefs of the PJHL, where he had seven goals and seven assists in seven games. Atamanchuk was named the PJHL rookie of the year in 2015-16 after he put up 70 points in 37 games.

Atamanchuk was sent to Weyburn in exchange for future considerations.
