The Richardson Pioneer Weyburn Red Wings continue to plan for the future, with the team announcing a commitment being signed over the weekend.

The team announced, via social media, a commitment from 03-born forward Marc-Antoine Ducharme. The Magog, Quebec native comes to the Red Wings from Stanstead College, in Stanstead, Quebec. He is the third commit from the college the Red Wings have signed in the past month and will be joining twin brothers Jérémy and Jacob Bigras.

While not playing this past season due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the public health orders in place in Quebec, Ducharme posted nearly a point a game in the 2019-20 season, with 23 points, including six goals, in 24 games.

The Weyburn Red Wings are waiting to find out from the provincial government if the SJHL’s Return to Play proposal has been approved, which will then allow them to play out the remainder of the 2020-21 season.
