The Weyburn Red Wings made a trade yesterday, as they start to get the roster in shape for training camp, which opens in September.

It was announced yesterday the team has moved forward Aiden Wagner to the Langley Rivermen of the BCHL. Wagner spent one season in Weyburn, where he picked up three goals and eight assists in 42 games. He added a goal and an assist in six postseason games.

The Red Wings also sent to Langley the playing rights of forward Trevor Ayre. The Red Wings had acquired Ayre’s CJHL playing rights in a trade with Salmon Arm on June 5th.

In return for both players, the Red Wings are receiving future considerations.
