The Pee Wee AA Young Fellow Wings were in Swift Current for a pair of games, as they took on the Swift Current Pee Wee Broncos Saturday and Sunday.

Saturday, the Wings picked up the 2-1 victory. The Broncos had jumped out to a lead in the first period, but Weyburn rallied back. Cade Cole scored with 5:23 left in the second, assisted by Van Eger and Ty Mason. Then, with just 19 seconds remaining on the clock, Silas Stein tallied for the Wings, set up by Blaze Gutzke and Karter Haupstein.

Ryan Hicks was credited with the win in net.

The second game Sunday saw the Wings earn a 4-1 victory.

The Wings jumped out to a lead in the first period, thanks to Haupstein. His power-play goal with just under four minutes left in the first gave Weyburn the lead for the game. He was assisted by Gutzke and Mason.

The Wings then had a goal from Stein, assisted by Gutzke. The goal came at the 18:36 mark of the first period.

In the second period, Mason scored the lone goal of the frame, assisted by Gutzke and Stein. The Broncos would get on the board in the third with a power-play marker, but Weyburn put things out of reach late in the period, when Eger scored, assisted by Quinn Mantei.

Walker Berner earned the win between the pipes for the Wings.

The Young Fellow Wings now prepare for a tournament in Estevan this coming weekend. They open things up against the Regina Mustangs on Friday.
