The Weyburn Golf Club held their Seniors’ Open on Thursday. A number of golfers participated, competing in five different groups.

In the Ladies 50-64 group, Colleen Melanson had the top gross score, firing a 92. Judy Zerr was second with a 94, and Penny Tochor 3rd with a 95. The top three net scores were Shelly Ziolkowski with a 71, Deb Ebal with a 73, and a 78 from Joanne Mowery.

In the 65+ Ladies group, Terry Creurer had a gross score of 93. Jan Bannerman fired a 94, as did Dona Rudychuk. Bernice Haug had the top net score with a 72. Jean Woodard fired a 74, and Audrey Perra shot a 77.

Mel Hoffman had the top gross score in the Men’s 50-59 group with an 80. Kevin Ziolkowski shot an 81, and Darren Miller an 87. Orville Acton had a net score of 68, followed by Muray Benson with a 73, and Kelly Hilkewich with a 75.

The Men’s 60-65 group saw Lloyd Kerowatski shoot a gross score of 81, followed by an 84 from Blair Pateman, and an 86 from Jim Pennington. The top net score was a 67 from Stan Norman, followed by a 71 by Rob Hippe, and a 74 by Brendon Billings.

In the Men’s 66+ group, Bill Rudychuk had the top gross score of 82, followed by an 84 from Dan Coderre, an 85 from Jack Jones. The top net score was a 70, recorded by both Carl Von Hagen and Elmer Kerbis. Bill Scott shot a 73.

The next tournament for the Weyburn Golf Club is the Men’s Crocus Open. It is on August 18th and 19th.
