The Lake Region State College Royals have turned once again to southeast Saskatchewan to fill their volleyball roster.

Carlie Standingready from Carlyle has committed to the school for the next season. Standingready had previously signed a letter of intent in March. She had taken a year away from the sport before coming back to play in post-secondary.

Standingready last played with the Notre Dame Hounds, where she received the “Heart of a Hound” award for her go-getter attitude. She averaged nine block assists, and three solo blocks, per match.

Standingready is the latest from Saskatchewan to sign with Lake Region State College for volleyball. Hannah Hextall from Weyburn played the past two seasons there. Others include Jaeleon Roberts from Bangor, Amber Stewart from Welwyn, and Tori Strongeagle from Carlyle.
