Thursday is the CJHL roster deadline, meaning teams in the SJHL will be making their final moves to put the rosters they want in place ahead of the final push for the postseason. In the days leading up to the deadline, there have already been a few big moves, with two involving the Weyburn Red Wings.

Last week, Weyburn sent goaltender Riley Lamb to the Yorkton Terriers in exchange for goalie Ben Laidlaw, and the CJHL rights to Christian Riemer and Parker Gavlas. Then, the Wings dealt forward and captain Cade Kowalski to Flin Flon in exchange for Dawson McKenzie and future considerations.

Wednesday, it was announced Lamb had signed with the Swift Current Broncos of the WHL. This meant he would be spending the remainder of the 2018-19 season with the Broncos, and it left the Terriers without a veteran netminder.

Late Wednesday night, it was announced via social media the Terriers had solved their goaltending woes. They acquired goalie Andrew Henderson from the Notre Dame Hounds in exchange for a player development fee.

This will be Lamb's second stint in the WHL. He was originally with the Red Deer Rebels of the WHL, before coming to the Red Wings at the beginning of the 2018-19 season.
