The Toronto Blue Jays are now in the middle of a three-game losing streak, after dropping am 8-4 decision to the Atlanta Braves Wednesday night. The Braves put up six runs in the first inning, and never looked back. The game also saw the benches empty twice, although no punches were thrown in either incident.

Atlanta took it to Jays starter Joe Biagini in the first inning, taking advantage of two walks, and a throwing error by the pitcher. Nick Markakis had a two-run single, and Kurt Suzuki hit his second home run of the season, as the Braves were up 6-0 before the Jays had a single out.

In the seventh inning, Kevin Pillar was called out swinging and said he was quick pitched by Atlanta’s Jason Motte. Pillar started yelling towards the mound, but Suzuki stepped in to keep things calm.

In the eighth inning, the benches emptied after a Jose Bautista home run for the Jays. He tossed his bat away after the home run, and a few of the Braves felt it was reminiscent of the bat-flip against the Texas Rangers in the 2015 playoffs. When Bautista touched up at home plate, he talked with Suzuki, and appeared to apologize, with Suzuki nodding his head. The two benches left the dugouts anyway, gathering at home plate, but no punches were thrown.

The Braves, who have taken three straight from the Blue Jays, will look to make it four when the teams close out the four-game home-and-home set Thursday night. The game can be heard live on Saskatchewan's Home of Blue Jays Baseball, AM1190, starting at 5:30 p.m.
